OUR MISSION
We help people live a bigger life with their dog.
ABOUT BAMK9
Building Confident Dogs and Empowered Owners
BAMK9 started because I wanted more than obedience.
Most training was focused on the wrong goal. Dogs would perform commands on a training field, then fall apart when life got real. What mattered to me wasn't whether a dog could sit for a cookie — it was whether that dog could join its owner for the life they actually wanted to live. A hike. A brewery. A road trip. A crowded downtown street. A coffee shop patio.
So BAMK9 became about building dogs for real life.
Over 15+ years working with dogs and owners, always chasing the same outcome: a dog that's fulfilled, focused, and free to go anywhere. Today BAMK9 exists to help owners stop managing their dogs and start experiencing life with them — through clear communication, accountability, and training that fits the life you actually want to live.
Because our dogs' world is only as big as we make it.

Behind BAMK9

Charlie DiBono
Founder and Adventure Dog Specialist
I've spent over 15 years working with dogs in every setting imaginable — nutrition, daycare, vet clinics, grooming, and training.
Every one of those experiences shaped how I approach helping owners and their dogs today.

These days I live and work out of a van with my wife, four dogs, and two cats — traveling the country, meeting clients in different states, and coaching virtually from wherever the road takes us.
My specialty is adventure dogs. Helping owners get their dogs out doing more. Van life, kayaking, hiking, biking — if you want your dog alongside you for the life you're actually living, that's exactly what I'm built for.

BAMK9 exists because our dogs' world is only as big as we make it. I'm here to help you make it bigger.
Jordan Silva
Canine Training and Behavior Specialist
Jordan is the kind of trainer whose clients' dogs end up loving him more than their own owners. He can't help it — dogs just know.

What started as a passion for working with dogs grew into a genuine calling after seeing how many ended up in shelters simply because their owners didn't have the right tools to communicate with them. That gap — between a dog that struggles and an owner who's lost — is exactly what Jordan showed up to close.

He trained directly under Charlie before going on to earn his certification at Starmark Academy of Professional Dog Trainers, where he became a Canine Training and Behavior Specialist.
He came back to BAMK9 with sharper skills, the same heart, and a clear mission: help Long Beach dog owners build calm, reliable dogs they can bring along for whatever comes next.

Rosie's Dog Beach. 2nd Street. The trail on a Saturday morning. This is what we trained for. Go enjoy it.
