CGC and Trick Dog Testing

Get your dog tested for their Canine Good Citizen title! I’ll be offering CGC, CGCA, CGCU, and Trick Dog titles (Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced). Each group of tests will be held at separate times. The cost is $15 per test, payable by cash or Zelle.

About the event
Requirements: To earn AKC titles, dogs must have an AKC registration number—either through PAL or Canine Partners. The CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test must be completed before attempting advanced CGC titles like CGCA or CGCU; however, all may be tested on the same day if CGC is passed first. While CGC is not required for Trick Dog titles, it is recommended, particularly as preparation for higher-level Trick Dog evaluations. Dogs must pass all items to get the certificate. No retractable leashes, pinch collars, head halters, E-collars, food, or toys are allowed during the test.

CGC Requirements
Accepting a Friendly Stranger: The dog allows a friendly stranger to approach and speak to the handler without showing fear or aggression.
Sitting Politely for Petting: The dog sits calmly while being petted by a friendly stranger.
